The Effective Restorative Center

BIPP

At the Effective Restorative Center (ERC), we are dedicated to addressing the issue of domestic violence and promoting healthier, non-violent behaviors and relationships. Our Battering Intervention and Prevention Program (BIPP) is aimed at providing support, education, and resources to those who have engaged in abusive behavior towards their intimate partners.
Our program trades on the belief that those who have used violence can change their behavior and create positive, respectful, and non-violent relationships. At the ERC We offer a Duluth and emerge structured and comprehensive curriculum that focuses on accountability, empathy, and personal growth. Through a combination of group sessions, individual counseling, and psych-education, Individuals gain the tools and insights necessary to break the cycle of violence and develop healthier patterns of behavior.

What to Expect from Our BIPP:
Individualized Orientation and Assessment: Each participant undergoes a thorough orientation assessment to determine their specific needs and goals. This assessment helps us tailor the program to address individual behaviors, attitudes, and triggers.
Group Sessions: Our program includes regular group sessions facilitated by experienced professional instructors. These sessions provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals to explore the root causes of their violent behavior, learn healthy communication skills, and develop strategies to manage anger and conflict in relationships.
Education and Skill-Building: Together with group sessions, we offer educational workshops that focus on topics such as power and control dynamics, the impact of domestic violence on victims and families, healthy relationships, and the importance of empathy and respect.
Individual Counseling: In addition to group sessions, Individuals have access to individual counseling sessions. These sessions provide an opportunity to address personal challenges, work through underlying issues, and set achievable goals for personal growth and change.
Support and Accountability: ERC promotes accountability and provides ongoing support throughout the change process. At ERC, we strongly believe in the power of peer support and encourage participants to actively engage with their fellow group members, fostering a sense of oneness and community as well as shared responsibility.
ERC’s Battering Intervention and Prevention Program is dedicated to the well-being of all participants. We maintain strict confidentiality and prioritize the confidentiality of victims involved in the program.
